Finally, I've made it to 19weeks! Yeahhhhh! Halfway there! I can't believe how fast time is passing. My pregnacy between the first and second trimester was extremely different, here are some of the differences:

First trimester:

The first trimester was not fun and was really hard for me. I worried a lot because it's my first time being pregnant. My first worry was whether my baby will result in a miscarriage, they say the likelihood of miscarriage is the highest during the first trimester. My baby iPhone app tells me the size of the baby is transitioning from the size of a sesame to the size of a red bean and finally the size of a lime by the end of the first trimester :P. I needed to be very careful, especially anything thing involving any physical movement, for example, I couldn't run or walk too fast. Second it was really rough because I was sick and puking all the time. I lost about 8 lbs because the smell of a lot of food made me want to puke, even the ones I used to love, for example, avocado is one my all time favourite food, but I suddenly felt grossed and disgusted even just being around it. I can't even look at an avocado picture on Instagram or Facebook because it made me sick. I ended up puking almost every night after dinner during the last two months of the first trimester. Now that I reflect back, I can't comprehen how can I survive it mentally, it was probably one of the toughest time of my life : (.

*Despite being a really difficult and hard time for me, I still a lot of joy in the process, for example:

-Surprise and met our expectation: Got a baby within one year attempting to conceive.

-First time seeing a baby and hearing heart beats during my first ever ultra sound.

-Know the due date so I can start preparing anything for the baby.

etc.

Second trimester:

I love the second trimester so much more than the first. All my morning sicknesses are gone and I feel like I got my normal healthy body back: ) I lost 8 lbs during first trimester, and now I gain back my normal weight. I can eat 5-6 meals per day, my appetite has been great, I am no longer disgusted with many food. It's so excited to know that my baby is the size of a large heirloom tomato right now. One bad development I have right now is my tummy is beginning to stretch and it's causing a lot of dryness. I am applying a lot of stretch mark cream but it stills feel very irritated. I also have a lot of mid-night pee breaks. Due to the size of my tummy now, some of my favorite leggings no longer fits me :'(.

But without a doubt, reaching this point bring a a lot more excitement compare to the first trimester:

-I can finally share with my friends and loves ones about the good news.

-My tummy is beginning to show so I actually feel like I'm pregnant.

-Although a lot of leggings and pants doesn't fit me but it's a perfect excuse to buy more new clothes online while rest at home.

-At around 17 weeks, I felt my baby little move for the first time, and I love this feeling, it's so cute!

-And I’m also very excited to find out and reveal whether we are having a boy or a girl…

Ta-da!!

It’s a baby girl!!: )

I would have totally been happy with either gender. I don’t really have a preference, all I hope is a healthy baby.

*And right now, I can start shopping some little pink cute clothes and dresses!! So excited : )

Hope you all enjoy it!
